It’s ironic but also darkly funny that the Nobel Peace Prize committee overlooked the abject begging of 47 and Netanyahu to award the million dollars to a different terrible person — albeit one who undoubtedly has less blood on her hands.

Maduro, who is being attacked literally with gunboat diplomacy targeting his country’s fishing vessels, and figuratively as when NYC mayoral candidate and progressive darling Zohran Mamdani called Venezuela a dictatorship last week, is in the empire’s crosshairs for two reasons. Because 1) he presides over America’s biggest socialist state and 2) because Venezuela has the largest oil deposits in the world. But it isn’t just Republicans or Europeans who are gunning for Maduro. Democratic administrations and their media outlets have also worked overtime to undermine him just as they did Hugo Chavez, his predecessor, and for the same reasons.
Many of us remember when the odious Barack Obama got the prize and, if old like me, have had little respect for the so-called honor since Henry Kissinger got it in 1973. Based on history, 47 could be forgiven for thinking that the prize works like this: slaughter civilians, drop chemical weapons to kill the forests and poison the people, bomb other countries you’re not even at war with and then finally, when you’ve already lost, sign a ceasefire and withdrawal agreement.

It’s hard to find something more ludicrous than the pitch that Zionists put together for the prize, but I think I’ve found it in The Cradle:

Turns out as ambassador to the UN she worked hard (and was rewarded) to get Israel admitted to key committees including the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space. I’ll end with an anecdote from my activist life. At our most recent banner outing, a lady with a sign that said I pledge allegiance to the flag not to a king and holding a U.S. flag joined us on the overpass. She asked if she could and I said sure, then she observed that her sign was inappropriate but it was all she had and was passing on her way coming from a Dem party sponsored protest.
I feel like this is a pattern lately -- Dems showing up at our protests and standing there with their inappropriate messaging as if we belonged together. I don’t think it is random, I think it is planned.

Meanwhile, Congress will go on allowing war on Venezuela and shipping weapons to Israel and Ukraine. Yes, even those with D after their name; Uber Zionist John Fetterman supplied the swing vote in this partisan performance to obscure that Ds and Rs are on the same team. If you think getting 47 out of the White House will fix any of that, you really haven’t been paying attention.
