Ukraine attacks Crimea with U.S.-coordinated satellite positioning and ATACMS armed with cluster munitions

According to a RT 1555 GMT (7:55 Pacific) update:

The death toll in the Ukrainian shelling of Sevastopol has risen to five, including three children, the city’s governor, Mikhail Razvozhaev, told reporters. At least 124 people have been injured, including 27 children, five of whom are in intensive care, Russia’s Health Ministry said.

It appears the Biden administration’s recent decision to lift restrictions on Ukraine’s use of certain weapons to hit Russian targets - NOT including longer-range ATACMS - has also hit a deadly snag, for at least five Crimean civilians, including three children (and counting), as a holiday at the beach turned into a killing field, under a downpour of US-made cluster bombs.

“Responsibility for the deliberate missile attack on the civilians of Sevastopol is borne above all by Washington, which supplied these weapons to Ukraine, and by the Kyiv regime, from whose territory this strike was carried out," the ministry said.

According to Reuters, the Kremlin Defense Ministry, without elaborating, will respond. Neither Ukraine nor the United States has commented.

So, while US-supplied weapons prolong hefty kill counts in both Gaza and Eastern Europe, our undisputed Western moral authority keeps dragging the rest of us up the escalation ladder.

Washington State Congressman Rick Larsen hid in a restaurant kitchen when confronted by Bellingham residents who told him no votes for genocide. His constituents confronted him over his support of US and Israeli war crimes in Palestine, with protestors outside of the event and disrupters on the inside.

The local protesters outnumbered the attendees for the June 18th event, loudly chanting and beating drums in the alley outside throughout the duration of the event, holding banners saying, END THE OCCUPATION! NO $$$ TO ISRAEL! END THE APARTHEID!!! and STOP THE GENOCIDE! NO USA TAX $$$ FREE PALESTINE NOW!, as well as orchestrating powerful chants saying, Not another nickel, not another dime, no more money for Israel crimes!

Inside the event, protesters loudly interrupted his attempts to curry support from attendees, telling him, No votes for genocide!, Israel makes Jews unsafe!, and Larsen doesnt care about 16,000 dead children!

Larsen attempted to evade the disrupters, eventually fleeing into the venueâ€™s kitchen, where he remained until calling the BPD (Bellingham Police) to escort him out of the venue.

The protest highlighted Rick Larsenâ€™s complicity in Israelâ€™s genocidal campaign in Palestine, the rise in violence against marginalized people in our community, the amount of money sent to aid in colonization which could be used for housing, education, and healthcare in the 2nd congressional district, as well as the far-reaching impacts of ecocide - an environmentally destructive form of colonization.

At least $1,445,013 of Bellinghamâ€™s tax dollars go to Israel each year. This number does not include tax dollars included in the many multi-billion dollar Israeli aid packages that have been authorized by Congress since October 7. AIPAC, along with weapons manufacturers such as Boeing, Raytheon, Honeywell, and Northrop Grumman, have collectively contributed over $450,000 to Rep. Larsen since his election in 2001.

And with almost $83 grand from pro-Israel interest groups, Larsen should be flush with Ukrainian flags to wave on the House floor with the next bundle he approves for the other slaughter he proudly supports in Ukraine.

America Restarts the Draft for 18-26 year olds

Greetings to Young Americans: You are Automatically Registered for the Draft Conscription without Representation? Where and WHY are we sending our Kids to War?

Our government is planning a big draft, conscripting millions of young Americans for an even bigger war!

I call to your attention a Democratic amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which was slipped into the almost trillion-dollar Pentagon war spending bill, by voice vote, in the House Armed Services committee.

The Democratic Amendment to H.R. 8070, the National Defense Authorization (NDAA) reads:

Section 531. Selective Service System: Automatic Registration. SEC. 3. (a)(1) “Except as otherwise provided in this title, every male citizen of the United States, and every other male person residing in the United States, between the ages of eighteen and twenty-six, shall be automatically registered under this Act by the Director of the Selective Service System.”

This amendment is in the NDAA legislation and there is no pending amendment to strip it from the bill. So, when the NDAA passes, as early as this week, Congress will have taken steps to make automatic conscription the law of the land.

Why an automatic draft? Members of Congress and the President have an obligation to explain to the American people to which foreign land will their sons, and perhaps their daughters, be sent to die?

The U.S. has been in a continuous “State of Emergency” since September 11, 2001, which provides a president with over 100 powers he would not ordinarily have. Notwithstanding that the automatic draft provision will go into effect in a year, a presidential order invoking emergency powers and/or an Act of Congress, could readily move millions from their civilian lives to the front lines of a war.

WHAT WE KNOW:

We know that America is fomenting wars around the world.
We know that the military industrial complex controls our government.
We know that we are on the precipice of a global war, provoking aggression rather than resolution with Russia, China and in the Middle East.

The only winners in these wars are the war profiteers.

They’re now going to take our children to fight in unnecessary, destabilizing, dangerous, debt-creating wars.

Just today President Biden committed the U.S. to an additional decade of support for Ukraine’s war with Russia.

There is no other conceivable reason to require more than 16 million American males to be automatically registered for the draft, other than to prepare for a large-scale war.

The Selective Service System is the vehicle by which individuals are inducted into the armed forces. This NDAA Automatic Registration amendment facilitates an efficient, large-scale draft.

The new law will automatically register all males between the ages of 18 and 26. Selective Service will notify in writing every young American male that they have been registered and will prescribe regulations which can require the registrant to provide “date of birth, address, social security account number, phone number and email address….”

The nine nuclear-armed countries spent more than $10 billion more on their nuclear arsenals last year than the year before, as ICAN shows in “Surge: 2023 Global Nuclear Weapons Spending”. Between them, they pumped $91.4 billion into the nuclear arms race, or $2,898 per second. The U.S. led the pack at $51.5 billion, or $1,633 per second!

Like Kurt Vonnegut always said, "In this world, you get what you pay for." And thermonuclear annihilation ain't cheap.
